Job Description
In this position, your primary responsibility will be to support quality improvement activities in the Luxembourg Hot Runner & Controller business unit. You will be part of the quality team, working on day-shift and report to the Luxembourg Quality Manager.
You will collaborate and work cross functionally to support our business to improve processes, reduce internal/external quality issues and drive down the cost of poor quality.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with teams along the full value chain, lead quality investigations for chronic issues that occur in the Luxembourg hot runner and controller business to understand the root cause (on parts, products or process), help manage the containment and implement actions to prevent reoccurrence. Experience of project management on process or product improvements would be an asset.
- Contribute to quality transformation initiatives (people, process, tools & data) in the Luxembourg campus or helping to support global Husky quality activities.
- Contribute to quality data collection, screening and oversee reporting output, including cost of quality.
- Ensure defined business processes and controls are being followed: e.g. execute ad-hoc process audits when required. Contribute to scheduled internal & external audits and improvement of the Luxembourg quality management system according to ISO 9001.
- Support communication of Husky’s Quality strategy to the Luxembourg campus teams, provide information sessions on quality assurance concepts & tools to team members as required.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience with minimum 3 years work experience in a technical, engineering or quality role. Quality certification or training in quality tools would be an asset.
- Hands-on data collection and analysis skills, with a high attention to detail. Problem solving skills, ownership, accountability and confidence to take decisions when required.
- Good understanding of ISO Quality Management System requirements, industry standards and manufacturing technology.
- Basic manufacturing, design & GD&T knowledge. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, e.g. Excel, SharePoint.
- Excellent written and spoken command of English, additional languages such as German or French will be considered an asset.
