CHINAPLAS 2026: Husky Advantage+Elite™ and 6Series Altanium® Earn Industry Recognition

At CHINAPLAS 2026, Husky took home two awards from China Plastics & Rubber Journal (CPRJ) under the 2026 Top 10 Plastics & Rubber Technology Trends Case Award program.

Husky Advantage+Elite™ proactive remote monitoring service received the Excellence Award, while the new 6Series Altanium® Mold Controllers earned the Product Innovation Award. Both recognitions fell under the Optimization of Energy-Saving Technologies category.

“Winning two awards in the same category at our recent CHINAPLAS event, across two distinct product lines, is a testament to Husky's experience in the field and our focus on measurable operational impact,” said Calvin Pang, Husky’s Vice President of Sales, North Asia. “Whether it's operational excellence gains from a connected fleet or efficiency improvements from better mold control, our customers need practical, measurable results. That's what both of these solutions are built to deliver and we are confident our customers not only in China, but around the world can greatly benefit.”

The awards are issued by Adsale Plastics Network, a plastics and rubber industry institution with more than 40 years of history promoting technology innovation. Each year, Adsale invites companies to submit nominated products and technologies for review by a committee of industry experts, who assess candidates on the value, benefits, and real-world advantages of each submission.

Final award recipients are decided based on a combination of public voting by members of the broader plastics community, as well as expert committee review. The program has grown into a significant industry benchmark: the 2025 edition drew participation from 92 companies across 13 countries and regions and reached more than 100,000 readers worldwide. The 2026 report will feature this year's winning cases in both English and Chinese.

Husky Advantage+Elite™: Turning Machine Data Into Measurable Operational Gain

Husky Advantage+Elite™ was launched more than five years ago with a straightforward premise: connected systems should enable faster decisions and fewer disruptions. Today the service runs on more than 1,500 injection molding systems across 75+ countries, supported by seven global monitoring centers operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

That data feeds Husky specialists who can identify emerging issues and intervene before they reach the production floor. When intervention is needed, more than 90% of issues are resolved without an on-site visit, and approximately 70% of those interventions happen outside of business hours, so production stays stable with minimal disruption.

The operational impact is reflected in the data. In one documented case involving a global beverage closure producer, fleet Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) significantly increased over 2 years, with 3-4 OEE points gained in the first year alone. Several machines in that fleet moved from the mid-80% to mid-90% OEE range, effectively adding production capacity without additional capital investment. Mean time to repair came down to approximately 4 days.

Beyond the performance gains, Husky Advantage+Elite™ addresses something harder to quantify: the skills gap that affects manufacturers running large, distributed fleets. By embedding Husky specialists into daily operations through the monitoring centers, customers reduce reliance on variable and under some circumstances limited local expertise to get more consistent performance across sites.

6Series Altanium® Controllers: A New Standard for Hot Runner Control

The 6Series Altanium® Mold Controllers represent Husky's most integrated platform for temperature, valve gate, and servo control. Designed for use across food, beverage, consumer goods, automotive, electronics, and medical applications, the 6Series brings together single-point operation and Industry 4.0 connectivity in a platform built for both performance and ease of use. Safety is an additional benefit, as the I/O connectivity function and DataWave 2.0 technology help prevent overheating.

Central to the 6Series is ART 2.0, Husky's proprietary second-generation Active Reasoning Technology. The algorithm improves on the previous generation through more advanced autotuning and heat-up strategies, enabling:

  • 42% faster heat-up times from cold start to making parts
  • 31% less energy when heating the mold
  • 50% less energy when idle
  • 64% faster setup times using HMI elements designed to minimize required touches
  • 75% better control accuracy based on standard deviation testing

The platform also features E-Series Intelligent Control Cards, which are interchangeable across the full production line. That interchangeability simplifies troubleshooting, reduces spare parts inventory, and supports faster fault recovery.

For manufacturers looking to reduce downtime, improve control, and get more from their existing equipment, both solutions are available now.
