From Savoie to Solutions: Pascale Sabatier’s Journey in Engineering Leadership
At Husky Technologies™, we celebrate the people who bring innovation to life. For International Women in Engineering Day, we are proud to spotlight Pascale Sabatier, Engineering Team Leader in Product Development based in our Luxembourg campus—a leader whose passion for mechanics, problem-solving, and customer impact has shaped some of the very products we deliver globally.
Building What Comes Next
For Pascale, engineering has always been more than a career, it’s a way to understand and shape the world. “I was more into LEGO than Barbie,” she laughs.
Originally from Savoie, France, Pascale pursued her early passion for mechanical systems through a rigorous, science-driven academic path. After completing a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in engineering sciences, she entered classes préparatoires, then earned a place at Arts et Métiers ParisTech, studying in Aix-en-Provence and finishing in Paris.
She joined Husky in 2014, after starting her career in the oil industry where she tested well performance before operations went live. Often the only woman on site, Pascale says this wasn’t a challenge, it was simply part of the environment.
“There are advantages and disadvantages to being a woman in a male-dominated field. I’ve always felt comfortable in that world.”
From Product Design to Real-World Impact
Today, Pascale leads a team focused on designing and launching new closure mold technologies—products that Husky develops and delivers to market. She’s driven by her love of tangible mechanics and solving real problems: “I enjoy turning a technical challenge into a working solution and seeing it succeed in the real world.”
One of her early highlights at Husky involved working closely with highly specialized industry experts responsible for validating closure designs. Her solutions consistently met rigorous testing requirements, earning recognition for both technical accuracy and reliability. She later traveled abroad to support Husky’s solutioning teams in key customer meetings, where her clear and confident communication of complex engineering topics helped build lasting, trust-based relationships.
“Customers value when engineers are part of the conversation, it helps turn technical requirements into clear, practical solutions” Pascale says. In October 2024, she was promoted to Team Leader, recognizing not only her engineering expertise but also her ability to lead, inspire, and drive results.
Advice to Future Engineers: Don’t Hesitate—Just Do It
For Pascale, gender should never be a barrier to entering engineering. “If you want to do it, just do it. Don’t overthink it.” She encourages young women to follow their curiosity and passion for building and understanding how things work and to enjoy the process.
“Enjoy your work. That’s what I would tell anyone. If you love it, it shows.”
Leading with Precision and Purpose
Pascale’s story is one of confidence, curiosity, and commitment, a reminder that great engineering is about more than numbers. It’s about listening, iterating, solving, and connecting deeply with the people we build for.
At Husky, we’re proud to have leaders like Pascale driving innovation forward, proving that when passion meets technology, great things happen.
