Responsible for updating, creating and managing standard packaging for suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experience with designing, validating packaging for heavy machinery as well as light sensitive parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in developing standard packaging requirements for parts, tools and equipment.

Lead packaging development policies and processes - including packaging materials optimization and project management

Identify packaging improvement practices working closely with the Materials team, Quality team, GSC and 3PL partners to improve quality of products received as well as long term storage

Identify potential cost savings on packaging and implement changes and change management, end to end

Write or update packaging standards and Standard Work Instructions

Proficient in CAD design and engineering change management

Effective communicator at all levels of the organization. Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion

Responsible for ensuring supplier packaging quality and addressing packaging non-conformances
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Packaging Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering is required. Relevant professional certifications and an internship in the packaging industry is considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Packaging Development role
