AI Guidance for Candidates
As artificial intelligence (AI) tools become more common in the job search process, Husky wants to ensure that candidates use these technologies responsibly and in a way that supports a fair and transparent hiring experience. These guidelines explain how AI may be used throughout the recruitment journey and outline our expectations for all applicants.
Candidates participating in Husky’s hiring process are required to follow this guidance. If we identify clear misuse of AI or a breach of these guidelines, Husky may decline an application or discontinue a candidate’s participation in the process. This helps us maintain the integrity of our evaluation standards and ensure equitable treatment for everyone.

Our Approach
AI can be helpful, but it should complement—never replace—your own voice. Our goal is to learn about you: your background, your capabilities, and how you think.
We ask candidates to:
• Use AI responsibly
AI may help you refine your wording or structure your thoughts, but everything submitted must reflect your true experience. Misrepresentation—such as fabricated achievements or AI generated content used as your own—is not acceptable.
• Keep your answers authentic
We value genuine, honest insights about your experience. Content designed solely to impress or that does not reflect your real background undermines the process.
• Be transparent
Husky is open about how we incorporate AI into our hiring processes, and we expect the same honesty from candidates regarding their use of AI tools.

Guidance for Each Stage of the Hiring Process
- Application Materials
We encourage you to write your resume, cover letter, and application responses based on your own background. AI can help polish your writing, but it should not create your story for you.
- Interview Preparation
AI can support your preparation by helping you organize your thoughts or research Husky. However, your interview responses must come from your own knowledge and experience.
- Interviews and Assessments
Live interviews and assessments—whether virtual or in person, reflect your own thinking and communication. AI tools are not permitted during these interactions unless Husky has explicitly granted written permission.
- Live Interviews
You should not use any type of AI during the interview. Using assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers or live captioning) if needed solely for accessibility purposes.
It is expressly prohibited to read any AI generated response or use any AI tools in real time to interpret questions or produce answers.
- Live Case Studies or Technical Exercises
You should use specific AI tools only when Husky has provided written authorization and clear usage instructions.
It is not acceptable to use AI without authorization to generate code, solutions, or analyses during the case study or exercise.
- Live Interviews
How Husky Uses AI in Hiring Process
Husky uses AI thoughtfully to support consistency, efficiency, and fairness—while keeping human decision making at the center of every hiring outcome. We may use AI to:
Help identify qualified candidates from large applicant pools,
Improve job descriptions,
Support communication with candidates,
Review application data to provide insights for human recruiters.
Husky does not use AI to make hiring decisions or automatically reject candidates. All AI assisted outputs are reviewed by trained team members to ensure they are accurate, fair, and aligned with Husky’s values.
We partner with AI vendors who emphasize ethical design, human oversight, and bias mitigation. All tools undergo legal, security, and risk assessments before implementation, and our approach aligns with evolving regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act and other local laws.
For more information about our data practices, please review Husky’s Privacy Statement (link).
Candidate Identity Verification
To protect the integrity of our hiring process—especially in virtual settings—Husky may verify the identity of candidates during remote interviews. These measures are similar to expectations in onsite interviews and may be adjusted for reasonable accommodations.
Candidates may be asked to:
- Keep their camera on throughout the interview,
- Use no virtual or blurred backgrounds,
- Present a government issued photo ID at the start of the interview (with all non essential information covered), solely to confirm that the individual present matches the applicant.
As technology and regulatory standards evolve, Husky will continually update this guidance to remain fair, ethical, and transparent. By participating in Husky’s hiring process, you acknowledge and agree to the above requirements for virtual interviews.
