Job Description

Husky  is seeking a results-driven Mechanical Engineering Intern with a focus on Injection Molding Equipment Design for a six-month internship opportunity. The ideal candidate is a master’s degree student with a sound understanding of MS Office and CAD (preferably Siemens NX). The selected intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, industry-leading company,  have the opportunity to work on real projects and make valuable contributions and collaborate with experienced professionals in their field of study.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of injection molding equipment for food packaging under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Utilize CAD software (preferably Siemens NX) to create and modify injection mold designs.
• Collaborate with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) team to evaluate and optimize design models.
• Support the creation of validation plans and monitor validation activities.
• Perform data analysis to troubleshoot and improve existing equipment performance.
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates and technical insights.
• Ensure compliance with company protocols and safety standards in all activities

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficient in MS Office and CAD software (Siemens NX preferred).
• Solid understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles.
• Understanding and application of GD&T principles and ability to perform proper tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Fluent in English; additional language (e.g. German) skills are an asset.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
