JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for sales and customer management for targeted accounts. Will also be expectred to increase sales at new and existing customers within the territory. Develop strategies and objectives to increase the sales of Husky systems in this territory. As an experienced sales professional, must be comfortable working with mid-level to senior-level management.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/Areas of Accountability:

  • Establish and manage relationships with potential and existing customers.
  • Prepare complete area audit. This includes knowing who your competitors are, and what your customers might need.
  • Research directories, trade magazines, technical journals, etc. to identify potential customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry changes, acquisitions, and personnel.
  • Develop customer contacts and make regular sales calls within the territory.
  • Arrange new customer visits to the Husky facilities.
  • Strive for the highest number of sales within the region
  • Respond to requests for information within the assigned territory with a sales call. Qualify all requests to determine the level of Husky compatibility with the specific customer requirement.
  • Attend local SPE chapter/industry association meetings on a regular basis and make occasional presentations.
  • Write and/or coordinate the writing of proposals/ quotations for presentation to the customer.
  • Present and/or assist in the presentation of proposal/ quotations to the customer.
  • Develop knowledge of the sales support services.
  • Prepare and maintain customer mailing list, territory market summaries, customer objectives, forecasts, strategies,expenses and activity reports.
  • Establish accurate sales targets for the Region. Annually prepare sales budget by territory.
  • Submit performance reports on a regular basis. Report on field problems to engineering, service, management, and other field sales personnel.
  • File accident reports, safety concerns and safety problems.
  • Understand product capabilities and customer applications.
  • Ensure that our customers receive the equipment that best suit their needs.
  • Demonstrate to our customers our technological advantages and their impact on productivity.
  • Ensure customer’s equipment is running smoothly.
  • Participate in customer service projects including assisting machine/system installations and startups.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An engineering or technical degree/diploma is preferrable
  • Extensive experience selling capital equipment and/or high value product to commercial organizations
  • Knowledge of and experience working in the the beverage industry
  • Good to have 2-3 years of sales experience in the injection molding industry
  • Good to have 3 to 5 years of technical exposure to injection molding
  • Good to have Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
  • Project a professional image 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) in both Japanese and English 
  • Team-oriented with ability to work well independently
  • Negotiation abilities
  • Ability to travel to customer plants
  • Fluent with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to understand the injection molding/manufacturing process and identify alternative solutions
  • Ability to identify opportunities in injection molding facilities including cycle time, plant layout, material flow, etc. improvements
  • Must be a resident in Japan.
