The primary responsibility of this role is to provide Financial Planning and Analysis to support the Global End-to-End Supply Chain financial forecast and month end consolidation of inputs relating to Material, logistics, labor, fixed costs, inventory, and Capital expenditures for the global tooling and Machines businesses. The position will work directly with the finance business partners in supply chain, front-end sales and product management, control tower, and corporate finance to establish and consolidate financial forecasts, track and analyze month-end results and communicate to the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, prepare, consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual rolling forecasts and prepare reporting on actuals vs. budgeted results, including additional ad-hoc analysis on the financial results.
- Coordinate month end meetings with FP&A and Controller’s group to ensure accuracy in monthly results & understand variances to forecast and annual plan.
- Analyze monthly performance vs actuals and determine opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.
- Lead the co-ordination and management of the annual planning and budgeting process for the Global end-to-end supply chain.
- Establish budget and operating benchmarks to assist in the preparation of monthly / annual forecasts
- Build robust and predictive financial forecast modelling to consider various scenarios and inputs.
- Complete all elements of financial performance targets related to Global end-to-end Supply chain costs, EBITDA, and cash. Work with various stakeholders to ensure alignment to strategy within Global Operations and with other businesses where cross-boundary needs arise.
- Works with Operations to prepare and update multi-year capital plan, track and forecast monthly capital spend against target.
- Key finance business partner supporting fixed cost for Facilities, Quality, Engineering and Commitment Planning
- Perform quantitative analysis required for strategic planning, special projects, and reports for management and communicate results to Global Operations Finance Director / COO and respective management teams.
- Working with the Global Operations Finance Director / COO to provide support to quantifying commitment made, delivered and maintained within the value proposition
- Enhance existing and develop new tools for increased efficiency, analysis and reporting, ideally in PowerBi
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong accounting (US GAAP and/or local GAAP, IFRS, SOX), analytical experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills. Proven ability to convey key messages in a concise and clear manner
- Adaptable and agile. Able to work effectively in a very fast paced environment
- Ability to handle difficult situations and conflict, while maintaining composure and managing stress
- Commercially savvy with strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to identify financial weaknesses and implement effective internal controls
- Detailed oriented with ability to summarize and provide concise explanations to key stakeholders
- Experience with PowerBi
- Sound ERP systems experience
- Excellent Microsoft Office experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree in business or accounting with a professional designation as a CMA, CGA or CA
RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Eight to ten years of progressive accounting and FP&A experience with two to three years specifically in analysis and forecasting in a manufacturing environment with project based or standard costing accounting.
- Experience in change management, project management and ad-hoc analysis
