We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data & AI to lead our data strategy, delivery and operations. As well as leading the COE/COP of AI supporting the teams in the delivery of AI initiative relying on data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, cross functional collaboration and leadership. This role will be responsible for overseeing the data team, ensuring data quality, and driving data and AI driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall data strategy in alignment with the company's goals.
- Lead and manage the data team, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data sources and systems.
- Oversee the design and implementation of data architecture and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify data needs and provide support to enable insights in the hub and spoke model
- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making processes within the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data management and analytics.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Define data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
- Implement data quality standards and metrics to monitor and improve data quality.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain a data governance framework to support data management practices.
- Promote a culture of data governance and data literacy within the organization.
- Develop and implement AI strategies to enable data analytics and business processes improvement collaborating with business users on a Hib and spoke model
- Lead AI initiatives to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency and customer service
- Oversee the development and deployment of AI models and algorithms from governance standpoint meeting ITGC requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and architecture teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
- Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI technologies within the organization.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to identify new opportunities for the company.
- Develop and manage the data department's budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior data management role, preferably as a Director of Data or similar.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, and data governance.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
