Key Requirements

  • Must be able to work rotating shift schedules
  • Must be able to commute to Bolton

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

  • Monitor and maintain material inventory to support manufacturing work cells

  • Unload and receive material from supplier and intercompany transport

  • Use of forklift for material handling – Training will be provided

  • Use of cranes for material handling – Training will be provided

  • Use of MS Office tools such as Outlook and Excel

  • Work with suppliers and other Husky business units to monitor and maintain required material and dunnage inventory

  • Maintain shipping and receiving area as per Husky world class housekeeping standards

  • Support operations team in housekeeping efforts for manufacturing hall

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities

  • Document, maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions as required

  • Provide training for new Material Handlers and direction to fellow team members.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Responsible, organized, hard working with a great attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and verbally, across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Skills / Experience with Crane and Forklift an asset (otherwise Husky will train)

EDUCATION 

 

  • Minimum Grade 12 education 

RELATED EXPERIENCE

 2-5 years of Material Handling experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
