Salary: $20-$22 per hour

Imagine a career launchpad built on over 40 years of success: at Magor Mold, you’ll gain full-time, hands-on mold-making experience every day, while also fulfilling a weekly commitment to college-level evening classes at a local institution — a required component designed to strengthen your technical foundation outside of work hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Master the full mold-making process—from raw steel to precision molds—through guided instruction, hands-on machining, and careful, final assembly.

•Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines, vertical mills, lathes, and grinders to produce precision parts within exact tolerance specifications.

•Move between designated work areas to support production flow and overcome schedule delays.

•Verify part dimensions with precision using CMM and metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.

•Complete work orders and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.

•Perform regular equipment inspections and proactive maintenance to sustain smooth daily operations and minimize unexpected downtime.

•Maintain a clean, well-organized, and hazard-free workspace while following all safety protocols.

•Act as an open-minded team player with a positive attitude, energetically contributing to a healthy work environment.

•Provide proactive and personal insights and constructive feedback to help streamline processes and help drive improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

•Interest in manufacturing and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

•High school diploma or equivalent required; any technical coursework or related experience is a plus

•Eagerness to understand engineering blueprints, GD&T symbols, and basic CAD drawings (training provided)

•Solid foundation in basic math to support measurements and setup tasks

•Comfortable working with tools: hand tools, industrial equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators

•Attention to detail and a desire to learn inspection methods and quality standards

•Exposure to machining processes like milling, turning, or grinding is helpful but not required

•Curious about Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and Flow/Pull systems

•Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to work across departments

•Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

•Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) or willing to learn

•Understands the importance of workplace safety and is committed to following guidelines

•Flexible and open to learning new tasks as production needs evolve

•Valid driver’s license is required
