This role will be part of the Corporate Business Development team, and will interact closely with the sales, marketing and product line management team.  The role will possess deep product, market, customer and competitor knowledge which coupled with their knowledge of regional trends will translate into regional strategies that will drive growth and increase market share.

 

The position will be located in our European headquarters in Dudelange / Luxembourg

 

Responsibilities:

  • Early identification of regional market trends including collecting appropriate customer, competitor, market, and economic, financial and/or operational data for the purpose of supporting decisions related to determining market opportunity, market penetration strategy, and market development metrics.
  • Provides market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to Sales Leadership and various internal management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on the assessments of the market and competitors, both existing and potential
  • Ensure continuous monitoring and analysis of the business environment to identify threats and opportunities
  • Work with Marketing Communications to set the strategy for Husky’s brand exposure in EMEA (i.e. conferences, social media, associations, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal business partners, actively participates in regular stakeholder meetings to understand current initiatives, identify emerging needs and business challenges, and proactively recommends intelligence activities to anticipate business needs
  • Perform analysis of ongoing business opportunities and new business development opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree/diploma with business/commercial experience or equivalent experience
  • Business degree/diploma with technical injection molding experience or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in sales, marketing, project management, engineering or product development in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Highly creative and innovative
  • Excellent analytical and decision making capability, including financial analysis experience and ability to conduct statistical calculations for modeling simulation and data analysis
  • Understanding of life cycle management
  • Demonstrate strength in problem solving and analytics and capable of driving insight to action
  • Ability to articulate with strong presentation skills and to contribute value to stakeholders; excellent written communication abilities
  • Ability to network effectively at all levels and influence
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadline constraints
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel globally as needed, including an understanding and open-mindedness to different cultures (Travel will be at approx. 20%)
  • Strong computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and business object
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent at preparing and delivering highly professional presentations
  • Fluent in English, Additional language skills considered an asset
