General Job Description:

 

Key support function for the CNC Maintenance Team, planning and scheduling of Maintenance Team members daily responsibilities, coordinating with outside suppliers and vendors to assist with CNC machine repairs.  Manage both reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance programs and responding to and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner. Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance Plan.

 

 

Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability:

 

- Ensure EHS compliance to OHSHA standards in all activities

 

- Maintain & develop CMMS(Infor EAM and MaintainX)

 

- Monthly review of maintenance activity with value stream team leaders. Create, maintain, and analyze maintenance metrics.

 

- Manages coolant monitoring & oil monitoring programs

 

- Drives improvement in achieving PM attainment and maintains metrics

 

- Assists in identifying and recommending training needs, equipment, specifications, and standards to help maintain consistent maintenance practices

 

- Actively facilitates continuous improvement activities

 

- Maintain and build maintenance supplier relationships

 

-Maintain 5S compliance in all maintenance areas and activities

Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in the methods, practices, tools, equipment, material, and safety procedures used in the repair and maintenance of CNC mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

 

- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in preventive maintenance principles and practices; planning methods and tools, including planning and scheduling software.

 

- Demonstrated strong two-way verbal and written communication skills including the ability to listen, explain, and facilitate.

 

- Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.

 

- Demonstrated project management skills, ability to balance facilitation of significant projects with day to day activities

 

- Strong knowledge of CMMS and related systems

 

- Self motivated with strong leadership skills

 

Qualifications:       

- Education

  • High School and/or post-secondary education in mechanics, hydraulics and/or electrical studies
  • Engineering, quality assurance, machining background an asset
  • MMP education an asset

- Related Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in the maintenance of industrial machinery
  • Working knowledge of CMMS
