Job Description:

The Development Designer will work with global teams to conduct simulations and analysis, focusing on finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). This role is an integral part of Husky’s Product development in injection molding machinery design.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with Global Husky simulation, design, test and service teams to perform structural & thermal finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamic (CFD).
  • Define simulation plan, conduct modeling, result post-processing and conclusion.
  • Contribute to injection molding machinery design concepts and improvements.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations on simulation details and findings.
  • Initiate and prepare test plans in validating simulation models and methodologies.
  • Develop and improve analysis processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Finite element analysis, Computational fluid dynamics and machinery design.
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Mechanics/Aerospace Engineering or other closely related discipline, Graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Strong in analytical calculations in structural, thermal and fluid dynamics
  • Familiar with recent versions of ANSYS/WB, UG/NX TeamCenter environment, Window Office applications.
  • Good team player.
  • Strong in communication, organizational and analytical skills

 This position is based in Bolton, Canada.
