Job Description
The Test Room Team Leader plays a critical role in leading the PET and Closures Test Room Team, ensuring resources are effectively assigned for scheduled work and that all necessary materials and equipment are available. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Team Leader is responsible for analyzing team performance and efficiency, reporting to senior management using live metrics and PowerBI dashboards to track productivity and drive decision-making.
The role demands a strong quality focus, ensuring that testing processes meet industry and company standards while continuously improving workflows. The Team Leader must also understand and sequence priorities effectively, making strategic decisions to optimize operations.
The position also requires comfort in front-end discussions, including interactions with sales teams and customer-facing support, ensuring alignment between technical testing and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Test Room team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Establish shift plans and work schedules, optimizing workflow efficiency. The team is working on two shift (Morning and Afternoon) with a week end coverage.
- Monitor performance and efficiency, utilizing live metrics and PowerBI to generate reports for senior management.
- Ensure quality standards are met, integrating precision and continuous improvement into testing processes.
- Communicate effectively with the Master Scheduling Team, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Make proactive decisions to prevent delays and maintain operational momentum.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, managing NCs and CCs to enhance processes.
- Provide support for front-end and sales discussions, aligning technical capabilities with business and customer needs.
- Collaborate with business functions, providing data insights that support cross-departmental improvements.
- Oversee the testing of closure products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
- Manage preventive maintenance of all Test Room equipment to maintain optimal functionality.
Qualifications:
- Degree in plastics or equivalent education.
- Leadership experience would be considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency in injection molding technology, tools, and machines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track, interpret, and report performance metrics effectively.
- Hands-on experience with PowerBI for compiling and visualizing team efficiency data.
- Exceptional prioritization skills, with the ability to sequence tasks efficiently for maximum productivity.
- Problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Comfort in front-end discussions, including sales support and customer-facing interactions.
- Self-driven, high personal integrity, and a team player with a strong motivation to excel.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
