Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for improving operational uptime of facility and systems through expanded PPM program. In addition you will be also responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and maintaining all automation equipment including, robotics and controls programming of various equipment and processes. Located in our European headquarters in Dudelange, Luxembourg, you will report to the Team Leader Machine Maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the platform team to understand how the software architecture works, and plan, design and develop solution to team goals.
  • Perform routine diagnostic checks on equipment, electrical panels, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot software, electrical and electronic control systems issues, provide detailed corrective action and identify potential risks to similar processes.
  • Exchange and restart software (as necessary).
  • Follow EH&S guidelines and standards in all activities, suggesting improvements when possible
  • Occasional support of the integration for advanced technologies such as computer numerical control (CNC), robots, self-guided vehicles (SGV), PLC Systems. 
  • Perform daily walkabout and visual checks of manufacturing facility and equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers and direct sub-trades.
  • Contributes to the implementation of new digital capabilities relevant to the team, accounting for implications to existing processes and data requirements throughout.
  • Assist in developing and/or updating preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the maintenance strategy and provide recommendations to Maintenance Team Leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Education in Electronic and/or Mechatronic and Robotic or equivalent experience
  • Siemens TIA Portal SCL, Beckhoff or other equivalent PLC knowledge will be an advantage
  • Bachelors License in relevant trade is preferred.
  • Several years of working experience in similar position/industry.
  • Experience with automated equipment in a CNC Environment would be considered an asset; however, ongoing training and mentoring will be provided to extend the CNC knowledge.
  • Able to read, interpret, and create schematics; hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical.  
  • A versatile learner, receptive to change and able to pick up new technical knowledge quickly (e.g., performing single disciplines in hydraulics, mechanics or electrical assemblies).
  • Understanding of coding:
    • Basic understanding of PLC programing  Structured Text (IEC 61131) Beckhoff, Siemens TIA Portal.
    • Basic understanding of Fanuc robotics coding
    • Basic understanding of Kuka robotics coding
    • Able to demonstrate EH&S principles
  • Fluent in English will be a must
