      Bolton, Ontario - Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced that at NPE 2009, it is demonstrating a range of products and services to help customers be more competitive by increasing productivity and improving sustainability. Located in South Hall at S36009, Husky’s booth (16,000 sq ft) is showcasing its innovative new technologies to the industry.

      HyCAP 300 – high output system for beverage closure manufacturing

      Optimized for speed, reliability and part consistency, the 72-cavity HyCAP™ 300 system is running a lightweight 26 millimeter water closure weighing 0.98 grams at less than 2.5 second cycles. This is a significant improvement from the industry standard for this part, which is 3.5 to 4.0 seconds on a 1.6 gram closure.

      HyPET 300 – PET preform packaging system optimized for beverage applications

      The HyPET® 300 72-cavity system with High Performance Package is the result of refinements to the entire system. The system is running Husky’s new EcoBase preform for a water application at cycle times of 5.5 seconds or faster. The EcoBase design yields up to 2.5% in resin savings.

      Resin: INVISTA Polyclear® Splash™ PET 3301

      Cycle time: 5.5 seconds or faster

      HyPAC 300 – packaging system running an in-mold labeled application

      Husky will also be running a HyPAC™ 300 system on the CBW booth, located at South Hall at S32031. The HyPAC system is running an in-mold labeled salsa application at less than four second cycles.

      At NPE 2009, visitors to Husky’s booth will also see:

      • Recent expansions to the Husky hot runner and controller portfolio, including the PRONTO® line of fully configurable hot runners and Altanium® Neo2™ temperature controller.
      • New Services offerings designed to help customers maintain overall operational efficiency. These include the Pro-Act™ flexible maintenance program, as well as the Shotscope® NX process and production monitoring system.
