Husky’s Quadloc Tandem now available for a wider range of automotive applications
For release 2007-10-24
DÜSSELDORF, Germany – Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. today announced key improvements to the Quadloc Tandem injection molding machine that will allow more automotive customers to take advantage of the cost savings and productivity enhancements of this proven technology.
The Quadloc Tandem system allows for the simultaneous operation of two standard, single-face molds in one machine. The system improves productivity and part economics for many automotive applications. It is ideal for the cost-effective, high volume production of matched or similar parts.
“Since its launch at K2004, Quadloc Tandem has enhanced productivity and part economics for many of our automotive customers, “ said Karl-Heinz Hoefert, Husky’s Business Manager, Automotive. “With the improvements announced today, Quadloc Tandem is now suitable for a wider range of applications.”
Quadloc Tandem now supports a wider range of materials, including olefins, filled and engineering resins. In addition, the new Quadloc Tandem allows both side and overhead loading of molds. This offers customers greater flexibility in the types and sizes of molds that can be used.
Husky offers automotive customers a modular approach to injection molding technologies. Customers can combine a clamp (Quadloc, Tandem, or Quadloc Tandem Index) and an injection unit (RS, dual RS, In-line Compounding or Metal Molding) to customize the system that best suits their application needs.
