    • Husky launches new 3D modeling package for hot runners

      NEW YORK -- Husky announced today that it has launched its new, comprehensive 3D customer drawing package for hot runners. The new package is designed to allow customers to easily check their tooling interface with the hot runner. It provides full parasolids of plates with inverse gate detail, guide pins merged in and skins of manifolds. Husky?s new 3D customer drawing package is available for all hot runner projects.

      "With Husky's new 3D solid models it is easy for us to design the interface details of our molds with the hot runner without delay. With closure molds being a primary part of our business, these new files allow us to confirm with confidence that we have sufficient steel back-up for the inserts for our high cavitation tools," explains Thomas A.       3D solid modeling package features

      For complete hot halves with plates, it includes:

      • plate models that have all features
      • manifold models with critical surface features
      • unified nozzle stack
      • inverse gate detail that can easily be subtracted from your plates to save significant time in plate layout and design

      For manifold systems, it includes:

      • manifold model with critical surface features
      • unified nozzle stack
      • inverse manifold pocket
      • inverse gate detail

      Customers can get the new 3D package through their Husky sales person or by simply checking the appropriate box on the Hot Runner Product Specification Form (PSF) to identify the format they wish to receive: parasolid, IGES, STEP or UG. The customer 3D data file is available within two days of detailed design completion.
