    • Husky introduces the Ultra 350 valve gate nozzle

      For release 2007-05-31

DUDELANGE, Luxembourg -- Husky has introduced the smallest member of its valve gate nozzle family, the Ultra 350, with a seal diameter of only 8 mm, a bore diameter of 16 mm, and a minimum nozzle spacing of 25.4 mm.

Designed for ultra-compact, multi-cavity production of small parts, including valve gating in difficult-to-access areas on a medical part or inside gating of closures, the Ultra 350 matches the throughput of the larger Ultra 500 VG -- up to 20 g/sec. The small footprint of the new Ultra 350 provides increased access at the gate for cooling and increased plate steel for support. A pneumatically actuated, plunger style gate is highly efficient in space-constrained, high-cavity applications. The Ultra 350 nozzle is currently available for polyolefin resins only.

The Ultra 350 system joins a growing number of Husky components that target a wide range of high throughput applications. As with all Ultra nozzles, the Ultra 350 offers guaranteed leakproof performance for three years with UltraSeal technology.
