Husky makes Polaris Control even more user-friendly New touchscreen features designed to give user precise control of molding process
For release 2005-11-22
DUDELANGE, Luxembourg — Husky has added several new features to its Polaris Control, giving machine operators more precise control of the injection molding process.
"Profile generation and modification of recovery, injection-fill speed, injection-hold pressure and mold stroke are now more exact, and can be made at the touch of the screen," said Karl-Heinz Hoefert, Sales Manager, Machines Luxembourg. "In addition to traditional step profiles, users can now enter profiles as curves. Curve following is a much more natural way for machinery and plastic to behave. The new curve profiles will result in greater accuracy, control predictability and a wider process window."
Husky's PC-based Polaris Control centralizes operation of the entire injection molding system, for fast and reliable communication between all system components, and has built-in network connectivity for remote diagnostics and monitoring.
The new features are standard on all Husky machines and will be available this coming February.
