    • Husky introduces new edge gate hot runner nozzles

      Friedrichshafen, Germany — Husky has added two new edge gate (EG) hot runner nozzles to its Ultra nozzles product line.

      Well suited for applications using polyolefin materials and where side gating is necessary, the EG nozzles feature a minimum pitch spacing of 44.5 mm and a wide range of standard nozzle housing lengths. The new nozzles are available in two or four gates, and offer two gate pitch sizes, EG-S (15 mm) and EG-L (22 mm).

      The EG nozzle is available for use with both customized manifold systems and complete hot runner systems with plates. As with all Husky nozzles, EG nozzle tips can be replaced right in the machine.

      "The new edge gate nozzle offers customers true design flexibility, along with Husky's service and reliability," Martin Baumann, Sales and Marketing Manager for Husky Hot Runners, said. "To date, there are over 300 drops successfully utilizing this new technology in the field, some having exceeded 400,000 cycles without issue."
